Family Fun Night - October 31, 2011

Family Fun Night is a Tri-City Baptist Church tradition. On October 31 each year, we have a wide variety of activities for the whole family to enjoy. This year kids were able to make their own slime, have their face painted, get balloon animals, and jump in a giant inflatable bouncy. The petting zoo was a big hit, and there were many game booths, including old favorites and the debut of “Minute to Win It”. Many families went home with delicious baked goods from the cake walk. Outside, hot dogs, cotton candy and Jamba Juice smoothies were available for purchase, and Bill Well’s Last Minute Band entertained people while they ate. Many visitors came for the first time. Each child took home a treat bag that held candy, information about Tri-City’s children’s ministries, and a gospel tract.

Family Fun Night was hosted by the Awana program and organized by children’s pastor Bryan Miller and his wife Debbie. Thanks to the hard work of numerous volunteers, we were able to reach out into the community and get to know some of our neighbors.

Kids from four years old through the eighth grade are invited to participate in Awana on Sunday nights at 6:00 p.m. during the school year. They will play games, learn Bible verses, and hear challenges at their level. The Awana program will hold the Awana Olympics this spring, an exciting competition that teams up kids from all age groups.
