Men's Retreat - October 21-22, 2011

Fellowship is an important aspect of the Christian walk. The men of Tri-City have a great opportunity for fellowship every October at the Men's Retreat when they go up north to spend a weekend away from the usual distractions of life.

This year, about 90 men went to Tonto Rim Christian camp with keynote speaker Brother Dave Barba. Additionally, three workshops were offered; Pastor Todd spoke on the purpose of life, Pastor Brock on dealing with grief, and Pastor Stertzbach on Christian competition.

Some of the men arrived in Payson early and relaxed at a nearby park. The retreat officially began with a delicious steak dinner. An unofficial tradition is staying up all night to play games after sharing around the campfire. One of the highlights of the weekend was the time of singing together.

The fellowship will continue at the monthly men's breakfast, usually held on the third Saturday of the month at 8:00 a.m. in Fellowship Hall. Men are invited to come eat and pray together, and hear a devotional from a staff member. This is a great time for the men to grow in their relationships with God and each other. The next breakfast will be Saturday, November 12.
