Benefit Concert in Honor of Tiffany Brock
September 17, 2011

The Chandler School of Fine Arts (CFA) benefit concert in honor of late pianist Tiffany Davis Brock raised $10,000 to dedicate and decorate the Tri-City Baptist Church (TBC) Davis Music Wing, named in Tiffany's honor. Tiffany was influential at TBC, International Baptist College (IBC), and CFA in addition to various other professional settings across the Valley. Despite her life-long illness of Cystic Fibrosis and its typical short life expectancy, Tiffany did not stop serving God with her whole heart and living life for Him. The TBC congregational pianist, she gave piano lessons for IBC and her input was a major contributing factor in the formation and philosophical direction of CFA. She continued her professional studies as well, finishing her Master's Degree just a year-and-a-half before she passed away.

The performers at the concert included musicians Tiffany worked with during her time at Arizona State University and throughout the Valley. ASU professors Dr. Andrew Campbell and Mr. Walter Cosand performed Debussy's Petite Suite, a piece which she and former student Rebekah High, had performed together. In fitting tribute to Tiffany's love of teaching, Rebekah collaborated with several musicians throughout the evening, showcasing her own talents and the fine training which she had received from Tiffany. Julie Malamut, soprano, director of the VocalEase music studio of Scottsdale, performed humorous Broadway pieces and serious sacred pieces, highlighting both facets of Tiffany's performing loves. Aimee Stewart, soprano and founder/director of the Chandler Children's Choir (CCC), both conducted and later performed a solo with the CCC. The concert closed with a piano/organ duet of "Holy, Holy, Holy" performed by Pastor David Stertzbach, organ, and Rebekah on piano. All of the evening's performers donated their time and expertise, allowing the funds raised to go to decorating and improving the Davis Music Wing.

Nearly 200 people attended, including Tiffany's colleagues and teachers from ASU, medical support staff, TBC families, and CCC families. Additionally, Tiffany's parents, brother, and other family members attended this special evening.

God worked greatly through Tiffany's life. She impacted people from all walks of life and spread her godly influence wherever she went. Her legacy will continue through the musicians and leaders trained in the Davis Music Wing, made possible by the donations received both at the concert and in the following days.
