Youth Fundraiser Lunch - April 11, 2010

For teens at Tri-City Baptist Church, summer camp is a highlight of the year. It’s an opportunity for teens and sponsors to get away from the “real world” for a week and focus on God without the distractions of daily life such as TV, computers, and cell phones. The teens work hard to raise money to pay for camp. Their biggest fundraiser is the annual youth lunch and dessert auction.

The 2010 youth fundraiser lunch and auction was held on April 11 in the gymnasium. The teens sold tickets and prepared an Italian meal. Church members provided desserts to be auctioned off. Some of the desserts traditionally go for high prices. This year a heated bidding war ensued over the last item which the two bidding groups agreed to split, and they dumped in over $300 between them.
