Re:vive "Have You Heard?" - March 31-April 2, 2009

Re:vive's annual Have You Heard? ASU outreach is three nights of outdoor evangelistic services in the heart of Arizona State University's Tempe campus. Salvation testimonies were given by ASU students Stephanie Ochoa, David Centofanti, and Josh de la Rosa and Gospel messages were given by IBC student Burley Gwaltney, Pastor Chris Koehn, and Pastor Torrey Jaspers. There was a good turnout with around 50 coming to the Thursday night service. Several visitors were invited by friends, and others were just passing by and stopped to see what was going on.

There were many opportunities for personal evangelism. Before and during the services every night, Re:vive members passed out drinks and invitations to the meetings to people passing by. After Thursday's service they handed out pizza and many stopped by and stayed to chat. Re:vive members were able to talk to a couple of Mormons who were interested in getting together for lunch and discussing theology. Another group talked with a student about the gospel; he wasn't ready yet, but was very close. A couple of others were able to talk to someone about his faith, and invited him to church (he came to the Sunday evening service). Another student got a flier and then attended the Re:vive ASU Bible study.

It is exciting to see what God is doing in and through our college group as they allow the spirit of ministry to permeate the lives!
