Awana

Tri-City’s Awana clubs meet from 6:00-7:30 p.m. on Sunday evenings from August through May. At Awana, children from 3 years old up to Junior High learn Bible verses and have fun with games, theme nights, and events like the Awana Olympics and the Awana Grand Prix. The prayer of Awana is that every child would come to know, love, and serve the Lord Jesus Christ. Important dates can be found on the 2016-2017 calendar.

At Awana, your child will...

  • Learn Biblical truths that relate to your child’s age and experiences
  • Memorize Bible verses
  • Enjoy fun physical activity and competition no matter their skill level
  • Develop positive friendships
  • Receive adult affirmation and encouragement
  • Build the basics of a relationship with God
  • Receive consistent and positive training on how to thrive in team and group settings
  • Be recognized and awarded for accomplishments

Registration

Registration forms will be available at the Welcome Center so you can fill them out to save time at registration. Awana began on August 28, but children are welcome to join us at any time!. The registration fee is $30 for the first child and $25 for each additional child (includes handbooks). Other important dates can be found on the 2016-2017 calendar.

Awana Clubs

Awana clubbers are grouped into clubs based on age. We have four formal Awana clubs: Cubbies (3-4 year olds — must be 3 when club starts in August & potty trained), Sparks (K-2nd grade), Truth & Training/T&T (3rd – 6th grade), Trek (7th -8th grade).

Cubbies

For three and four year olds—specifically the two years prior to kindergarten. They have Story Time with puppets, Bible truths, and a Bible story; Small Group Time when clubbers recite their verses and show their leaders their handbook work; and Play Time with noncompetitive games.

Sparks

For kindergarten through 2nd grade. Club is divided into three main segments: Large Group Time where there is a Bible lesson, singing, announcements, and award presentations; Small Group Time where the clubbers recite their handbook sections with their leaders, earning awards; and Game Time.

Truth and Training Clubs

For kids in 3rd through 6th grade. Club is divided into three main segments: Large Group Time where there is a Bible lesson, singing, announcements, and award presentations; Small Group Time where the clubbers recite their handbook sections with their leaders, earning awards; and Game Time.

Trek

For middle school students in 7th and 8th grade. Club is divided into three main segments: Large Group Time where there is a Bible lesson; Small Group Time where the clubbers recite their handbook sections with their leaders; and Game Time.
