Holiday Program - November 18, 2011

Tri-City Christian Academy's bands and choirs performed a concert of Thanksgiving and Christmas music for their friends and family at the annual Thanks for His Gift "Thanksmas" program.

The elementary grades showed what the first Christmas might have been like Through the Eyes of a Child, arranged by Karen Kuehmann. The high school chorale led in meditation on Jesus, the Rose of Sharon with selections from The Winter Rose.

Visitors at the concert were overwhelmed by the quality of the music the Academy offered. With its expansive fine arts program, TCA is a great alternative to a public school. Students sing in choirs beginning in the elementary years and are able to join band starting in fifth grade. Private lessons are available on campus through the Chandler School of Fine Arts.

In the spring, TCA will offer more opportunities for community members to experience the arts. The high school will be putting on a play, and the annual school concert will be held in April. At the end of the annual Christian Schools of Arizona competition on March 9 there will be a concert showcasing the best of competition pieces. Check the calendar for details in the coming months.
