Dakota's Run - February 12, 2011

Tri-City Christian Academy (TCA) is teaming up with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Endurance (FCAE) to help the family of a four-year-old student with leukemia.

Dakota Paquette is a student in Mrs. Ori Whitehouse's K4 class. She was diagnosed with leukemia right before school started last August, and though she's missed a lot of school for treatments, the class has embraced her. Mrs. Whitehouse and other parents in the class wanted to do something to show support for the family, and the idea for Dakota's Run was born.

Organized by FCAE and hosted by TCA, Dakota's Run will be on Saturday, February 12 at 8:30 a.m. People of all ages and abilities are welcome to run or walk either the 5K or 1 mile course. Course fees are $7 for students and $12 for non-students with a $35 maximum per family. Dakota and other TCA students will present awards.
