Warrior Club Banquet - October 9, 2010
The 2010 Warrior Club Banquet was a great evening highlighted by the Tri-City Christian Academy Chorale directed by Pastor Dave Stertzbach and accompanied by Rebekah High. The TCA students were a blessing, not with their music, but also by serving the delicious food Mexican food prepared by the Food Services staff and then staying to clean up at the end of the evening. We truly have a great group of young people at TCA.
TCA teachers Eric Paine and Daryl DeGraw entertained the audience with a hilarious skit involving Eric showing just how smart he was in wanting to become a member of the Warrior Club. TCA Principal, Pastor Thad Todd, presented his "wish list" for the coming year. Items on the list include lights for the soccer field, new computer technology for the classrooms, and playground equipment for the younger students to enjoy. The fundraising got off to a good start through donations of over $2,000 in cash and $2,600 in pledges from those attending.
Buddy MacDonald presented a short challenge to the audience to become "Mighty Warriors" for God, for TCA, and for Tri-City Baptist Church Ministries. The challenge came from 2 Samuel 23:8-39 where God recognizes the thirty-seven mighty men that He used to help David gain success in his many military exploits for the sake of his Lord.
The Warrior Club is praying for a great host of volunteers to assist us in planning and hosting a silent auction and dinner on March 26, 2011.
