Soccer Field - April 6, 2010

Spring brings the beginning of the girls' soccer season for Tri-City Christian Academy. Home games will be played on Tri-City's soccer field. On Tuesday, April 6, 2010 Tri-City hosted Arrowhead Christian Academy from Glendale, Arizona.

Tri-City's regulation size soccer field is equipped with light poles so that in the future games can be played at night. The field was planted with Bermuda grass sprigs, which are chopped up pieces of grass roots. The grass was planted in August 2008 but had to be allowed to grow undisturbed for one year so the roots would be strong enough to handle the rigors of regular use. The field was first used in the fall of 2009 for TCA boys' soccer games.

The soccer field is not only a great asset to TCA's sports program but will also be an outreach tool for the rest of Tri-City Baptist Church's ministries. We look forward to holding many activities on the field in the future.
