High School Graduation - May 22, 2009

Tri-City Christian Academy's high school graduation on Friday, May 22, 2009, was unique in that it was the last TCA graduation on Tri-City's Tempe campus. Seventeen students received their high school diplomas while thirteen students graduated from eighth grade. Rachael Bither was high school valedictorian and Kari Kufrin and Kristin Wheeler shared the salutatorian honor. Nathan Sproul, a TCA alumnus, gave a humorous and insightful commencement message.

Many awards and recognitions were given; the James E. Singleton Graduate Award was given to Rachael Bither, and volunteer Physics teacher Brian DeFord received the Warrior Award. Arizona State University, Grand Canyon University, and The Master's College presented scholarships to their recipients. In a surprise announcement, the 2008-2009 TCA yearbook was dedicated to TCA principal Dan Bewley, who will be leaving TCA this summer to be an assistant pastor in his home state of Michigan.
