GENERAL INFORMATION
FacilitiesThe Academy is housed in the facilities of Tri-City Baptist Church. There are some 28 classrooms, a student chapel, and our large church auditorium, which is used for various special programs throughout the year. All our classrooms are fully carpeted, well-lighted, and air conditioned. Our Family Life Center houses a gymnasium, additional first-rate classroom space, and a kitchen. Our attractive facilities provide for a safe and comfortable environment. We also have a fenced sports field for soccer and softball.TeachersOur faculty includes 21 full-time teachers and an office/administrative staff of four. In addition, vocal music (K-12), band (4-12), strings (3 years and up), and physical education (3-12) are taught by separate teachers. The overall pupil/teacher ratio is about 25/1. Click here for more faculty information.CurriculumKindergarten through sixth grade are traditional, self-contained classrooms, while the upper six grades are organized in the manner of most traditional junior/senior high schools, with specialty teachers for the various areas of study. Maximum use is made of many Christian textbooks which have become available, with A Beka Books, Bob Jones University Press, Mile-High Publishers, and Saxon math in our curriculum.Graduate StatisticsAs of 2003-2004 the school has graduated 27 classes. One hundred percent of our graduates who apply to colleges or universities are accepted, and over 75 percent of these graduates have gone on to good Christian colleges and universities. TCA has many graduates from Bob Jones University, Pensacola Christian College, Maranatha Baptist Bible College, International Baptist College, and Northland Baptist Bible College. |
