We would like to encourage you and your students to write thank you notes to the members of our Arizona Legislature who have made our state a leader in School Choice. Drop off your thank you letters to the office by Wednesday, January 18, and letters will be hand-delivered to our legislative members. Personal tidbits about what your student's school means to them or what subjects they particularly enjoy will make the letters truly meaningful! |

Fundraising Report | |
At the end of our Fresh & Easy fundraiser, we ended up with over 250 receipts which should bring TCA over $450.00 of cash. Our school shopping night totals will be added to our receipt total and a check should arrive in May.
We also received a $500 check from Fry's as a result of many of you linking your Fry's VIP card to our school. If you haven't linked your card yet, you can visit our website and find our school code and instructions for linking your card. Frys' Cool Cash program continues until April 12, so please keep shopping!
Thank you again for all your efforts in supporting TCA. |

PTA Spotlight | |
Our PTA is already busy making plans for this next semester. You can join in the planning by coming to our monthly meetings with Pastor Thad. Here are just a few things going on in PTA:
- February 3 will be our next meeting with Pastor Thad. Join us for our meeting in the staff lounge at 8:00 a.m.
- TCA received $585.90 for all of the box tops we turned at the end of October! Thank you so much for faithfully cutting out, collecting and turning in those box tops.
- We're continuing our box top collections for the month of February. Grades K-3-6 will be receiving pink, Valentine's box top collection sheets to take home and fill by February 29. Each elementary class will receive free donuts from the senior class if all of their collection sheets are filled and turned in on time.
If you're interested in more details or helping out with Tri-City's PTA, please contact Tiffani Sproul or your student's PTA classroom coordinator.

Nurse's Corner |
Everyone (hopefully) understands they should cover their cough and sneeze; however, using your bare hand to do that may not be the best method. If you use your bare hand to cover your cough and sneeze, those germs are going to hang out on your hand and chances are you're going to touch something before you are able to wash your hands or use hand sanitizer thus spreading germs.
The "Dracula Sneeze" (raising your upper arm to cover your nose and mouth) makes more sense in preventing the spread of germs, but some of us may need a little practice before it catches on. If you find the "Dracula Sneeze" method on the more gross side, carry some tissue with you. Catch the sneeze or cough in the tissue, toss it in the garbage can and immediately wash your hands or use hand sanitizer.
Cold and flu season is upon us. Start practicing your "Dracula Sneeze" and help keep TCA healthy!
