CSA Festival and Competition

As a member of Christian Schools of Arizona (CSA), Tri-City Christian Academy has the privilege of participating in the CSA Fine Arts Festival and Competition. Every Spring CSA holds an Elementary (4th through 6th) and Junior High (7th and 8th) Festival and a Senior High (9th through 12th) Competition. In 2010 the CSA festival and competition will be held on March 4 and 5.

These festivals and competitions are designed to help polish and sharpen Christian students' God-given talents and their practiced skills. There are many different events available for student participation. Students who choose to be involved will receive coaching to prepare them for their events. At the festival and competition, the students will be judged and will receive comments from the judges. Students will invariably learn and grow through their involvement with CSA festival and competition, and they will be challenged to continue to improve upon their experiences. The Senior High CSA Competition prepares students to compete in the AACS (American Association of Christian Schools) National Competition. Those who earn first place in their events at CSA are eligible to compete in AACS National Competition in Greenville, South Carolina.

Wrap-Up for CSA Festival/Competition

We enjoyed two wonderful days of performances at CSA Festival/Competition with 198 students participating in 151 events. High School competition became collaboration at the end of the day as the Festival Choir and Festival Band joyously performed together. Through CSA Festival/Competition we achieved our goal to polish and sharpen Christian students' God-given talents and their practiced skills. Thank you to all participants, parents, teachers and coaches who helped make these days a success! Results for the events will be posted online.

We have several students who placed at CSA Competition and now plan to compete in AACS National Competition in Greenville, SC. Pray for Elizabeth Bergh, Sarah Collins, Maddy Dummermuth, Andrew Eberle, Jonathan Eberle, Brett Larsen, Melissa Larsen, Sierra Miller, Jordan Rodgers, Amanda Todd, and Kali Worley as they prepare to compete.
