CSA Festival and Competition

As a member of Christian Schools of Arizona (CSA), Tri-City Christian Academy has the privilege of participating in the CSA Fine Arts Festival and Competition. Every Spring CSA holds an Elementary (4th through 6th) and Junior High (7th and 8th) Festival and a Senior High (9th through 12th) Competition.

These festivals and competitions are designed to help polish and sharpen Christian students' God-given talents and their practiced skills. There are many different events available for student participation. Students who choose to be involved are encouraged to seek out coaching to prepare them for their events. At the festival and competition, the students will be judged and will receive comments from the judges. Students will invariably learn and grow through their involvement with CSA festival and competition, and they will be challenged to continue to improve upon their experiences. The Senior High CSA Competition prepares students to compete in the AACS (American Association of Christian Schools) National Competition. Those who earn first place in their events at CSA are eligible to compete in AACS National Competition in Greenville, South Carolina.

• Senior High CSA Competition will be on Friday, March 9, 2012. The event is required for all 9th-12th grade band and choir students. It is a full day beginning with competitions in the morning and ending with an Awards Ceremony and Honors Concert (7:00 p.m. start time).
• Elementary and Junior High CSA Festival will be on Friday, March 30, 2012. It is a required event for all 4th-8th grade students. It is a full school day beginning with performances in the morning and ending with an Awards Ceremony following the competitions. The bus returns to campus about 6:30 p.m.

Parents are responsible to check their students' events for accuracy.

• High School: On-line registrations will be available to view February 6-9. Contact Mrs. Yuen by Thursday, February 9 if changes need to be made. All registrations are final after Thursday, February 9.
• Elementary/Junior High: On-line registrations will be available to view February 16-21. Contact Mrs. Yuen by Tuesday, February 21 if changes need to be made. All registrations are final after Tuesday, February 21.
