7/4/2008 Six Flags Magic Mountain
Re:vive's annual trip to Six Flags Magic Mountain in California, July 4-6, 2008, was a little different this year. A smaller group went (seven people) so instead of staying at a church, they stayed with families from Lighthouse Bible Church. The group arrived at the church on the 4th of July, just in time to help out with the big community outreach event. The Re:vive group helped out with the bouncy castle and slide, latched up kids for the climbing wall, ran some of the kids' games, and talked and mingled with people. After a Gospel message and fireworks show they helped clean up. Saturday was spent at Six Flags. When the gates opened the group flew right to X2, the newest ride in the park, and waited for almost two hours to ride it. It was awesome! Sunday morning they had their own little church service on the beach before heading home. The trip was an opportunity for everyone to grow by serving another church, and it was a great time of fellowship that brought everyone closer together.
