Societies

IBC has four societies that provide fellowship, fun, intramural sports, and service project opportunities for students. The men's societies are named after early American Baptist leaders, and the women's societies are named after Biblical characters. Societies meet at least three times per semester on Fridays, and they plan special events throughout the semester. All new students choose to join a society; there is a "rush" at the beginning of the school year for the societies to recruit new students.
