Grand Canyon Hike - April 20-22, 2011

For many years, International Baptist College has taken groups of students, staff, and guests to hike down into the Grand Canyon. Dr. Jerry Tetreau, IBC's Chancellor who organizes the hike, has descended the Canyon 25 times in the last 30 years.

After IBC's chapel on Wednesday, April 20, the group of students, faculty, and friends of the College left the campus for great adventure. They spent the day traveling and setting up camp for the night. Very early the next morning, the hikers began the exhilarating trek into the Canyon. They made it to the bottom and back out in a day. All too soon, Friday came and it was time to break camp and head back to campus where several participants were involved in the Good Friday evening service at Tri-City Baptist Church.

The Canyon hike is a good opportunity for students to spend time in fellowship with faculty and friends of IBC while everyone enjoys the clear evidence of the power of God at work in His world.
