Fall Lecture Series - October 5-7, 2010

In his autobiography, fighter pilot Charles "Chuck" Yeager describes how he and another World War II pilot were able to spot speck-sized German aircraft over 50 miles away. Major General Yeager says that this "Combat Vision...is a gift that’s hard to explain"; however, even men with excellent eyesight learned to trust Yeager’s ability to see the enemy; they learned to listen to his reports and prepare for the attack.

Whether we are a fighter pilot or not, as Christians we are compelled to see our enemy while he is far off. In Contemporary Issues in Theology, IBC’s 2010 fall lecture series, Dr. Kevin Schaal spoke on seeing theological enemies whether they are near or far, and understanding how to prepare for the attacks ahead.
