Torrey & Jalene Jaspers Join IBC Staff

International Baptist College is excited to announce a new addition to our staff and faculty. Starting this semester Torrey and Jalene Jaspers will be joining our team here at IBC. It has been exciting to see the hand of God providentially working in our team and their lives to bring them to us. God truly works out the details of life to accomplish His will.

Torrey Jaspers was born and raised in a pastor / evangelist’s home where he was actively involved in the family’s ministry. As a teenager at Bible camp, he surrendered his life to preach the gospel and graduated from Bible college in 1992. After six years in pastoral ministry in Iowa, Nebraska, and Wyoming, the Lord led Torrey into full-time evangelism in 1998. During this time, God has allowed him to conduct over 250 week long crusades in churches, camps, and schools. God has blessed Torrey and his wife of seventeen years, Jalene, with two children, Victoria age fourteen and Isaac age eleven.

Now God has brought their family to become part of our ministry. Torrey will be in charge of our recruitment and spiritual development. We are excited that he will be able to travel with our ministry teams and be available for evangelistic meetings throughout parts of the year. He will also oversee our recruitment of new students and developing relationships with people and ministries throughout the West. The other focus of his job will be to facilitate with our College Pastor and President the spiritual development of our students through chapel, ministry involvement, and our mentoring program. Jalene will also be joining the college team. Her primary duties will be our receptionist in the college office and various other secretarial responsibilities; you will get to hear her joyful voice when you call us.

Please be in prayer for the Jaspers as they make this big adjustment in a very small amount of time. God truly has been working out the details at each step. We welcome them to the Valley, and they are looking forward to serving not only Tri-City Baptist Church, but also the many other ministries here in the West.
