
The Bachelor of Arts degree in Bible and Church Music is a four-year, 133-hour program. The program includes 30 hours of core Bible, 57 hours of music education, 37 hours of general education, and 9 hours of Christian Service. The program includes classroom instruction, private lessons, group participation, and an internship. The curriculum consists of courses in music theory, ear training and sight singing, music history, hymnology, conducting and congregational song leading, and a primary and secondary instrument proficiency.
The mission of the Music Department at IBC is to equip students to glorify God by serving in local churches in teaching, performing, writing, and arranging music and administrating music programs.
