
For those interested in advanced study of the Bible and Theology, IBC offers the Master of Arts in Biblical Studies (MABS) degree. The MABS degree is a graduate level academic program designed primarily for those who wish to teach the Bible on a secondary or college level. It provides a more in-depth study of the Bible and theology than is possible on the undergraduate level. This is a 33-hour program of study offered during the fall and spring semesters. The MABS is an academic degree that may serve as preparation for the Master of Divinity or doctoral degree.
To provide academic preparation to understand, interpret, and apply Scripture in teaching, preaching, and ministering. In addition, the MABS is designed to prepare the student for advanced study.

An approved Bachelor’s degree with at least 32 hours of Bible and Theology (including two semesters of Koine Greek) is prerequisite for admission to the MABS program. The student must have maintained at least a 3.00 ("B") grade point average in his/her undergraduate work. Any deficiencies must be removed by taking the appropriate classes in the IBC undergraduate school.
In addition to the standard requirements governing all graduates of IBC, the MABS candidate must maintain a 3.00 ("B") grade point average in all graduate work. No more than 12 hours may be transferred into the program from other graduate schools. No more than 8 hours may be taken by video recording unless specially approved by the administration.
